About & Help
How to use Shoshin
Shoshin is your intelligent health companion for symptom triage, medical report analysis and your personal health record.
Symptom Triage
Select a profile and describe your symptoms. Our AI will guide you through follow-up questions to provide a triage recommendation.
Report Insights
Upload or photo a medical report to get an AI-powered explanation of medical terms and findings in plain language.
Health Record
A personal health record you build yourself: what you have been prescribed, tested and imaged, in one place and separate from the official record your province or territory keeps. Scan the paperwork and confirm what Shoshin read, or type an entry; the file itself is never kept. The confirmed record informs your next symptom triage and is ready for your doctor.
See it in the walkthroughProfiles
Manage your health identity and family members in the "Profiles" menu to ensure personalized and age-appropriate assessments.
Share with Doctor
Generate a professional, print-optimized medical summary of your assessment to share with your healthcare provider.
Private Session
Run a triage or report analysis without saving the result. It stays in memory only and never enters your history; the run still counts toward your monthly allowance.
Plans & Usage
Choose a plan that fits you. The free plan covers a couple of assessments each month, while the Individual and Family plans add more monthly assessments, report insights, private sessions, and family profiles. You can review or change your plan anytime from the billing menu.

Triage Tool, Not a Professional Diagnosis
The Shoshin web application is an intelligent symptom triage tool designed for educational and informational purposes only. It is intended to help Canadian families understand the potential urgency of their symptoms and navigate the healthcare system more effectively. Shoshin does not provide professional medical diagnosis, system opinion, or treatment protocols. The information generated by the system is based on medical data patterns and should never be used as a substitute for the medical judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.
Not for Emergencies
If you or a family member is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use this application for life-threatening symptoms, including but not limited to: - Difficulty breathing or severe chest pain. - Unconsciousness or sudden confusion. - Severe bleeding or trauma. - Signs of a stroke (facial drooping, arm weakness, difficulty speaking).
No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Your use of Shoshin does not create a doctor-patient relationship. The system is a navigation assistant, not a licensed practitioner. Any "results" or "triage explanations" provided are indicators of potential care levels (e.g., "Monitor at home", "Visit a walk-in clinic", or "See a specialist") and do not constitute a final diagnosis or medical opinion.
System Accuracy and Limitations
While we strive for high accuracy based on Canadian medical guidelines, automated systems can make mistakes. Medical knowledge is constantly evolving. Shoshin makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided. Always verify triage suggestions with a human physician.
User Responsibility
By using this web application, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own health decisions. Shoshin, its developers, and affiliates are not liable for any actions taken — or not taken — based on information provided by the tool.
